Mighty Mariner paid a visit to the Tesco Express store on Yarborough Road on Monday morning after the store reopened following a six week closure.

During this time the store has had a new floor installed and redecoration works throughout. A Costa Express machine will also be installed this week.

Customers were able to continue to shop in a pop up store next door to the Tesco Express, which operated during the closure period selling a small range of customer essentials.

Tesco have also partnered with Young’s Seafood who have kindly provided the opportunity for youngster’s to enter a Grimsby Town themed drawing competition which will see the winner secure a Mascot Package with The Mariners at a Sky Bet EFL League Two game this season.

Store Manager Tara Goulsbra commented: “It has been great to continue to serve our customers and the local community in our pop up shop. The revamped store looks great and is set up really well to provide for our customers and we have had lots of great customer feedback. We have had a lot of interest in our drawing competition so far with over 70 local children coming in to collect forms in the first two days since we opened”.

The store is open daily from 0600-2300.
