Orsi departs for Crawley

The Mariners can today confirm that striker Danilo Orsi has departed the Club, signing for Crawley Town for an undisclosed fee.

Orsi joined the Mariners ahead of the 2022/23 season after a spell with fellow Sky Bet League Two club Harrogate Town. In his only season at Blundell Park, the 27-year-old made 32 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals, including two in back-to-back home matches in April at Blundell Park.

On the departure, manager Paul Hurst said: “Danilo was a popular member of the squad and an excellent professional. He is one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to manage and wish him nothing but the best moving forward. In his year with us he will have taken away some fantastic memories, particularly the ones linked to our FA Cup run which he played an integral part in.”

Everyone at the Mariners would like to wish Danilo well for the rest of his career and thank him for his efforts in the black and white of Town.
