We return to Blundell Park tonight for our Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round replay against Luton Town with a tie away to Premier League side Southampton the reward for the victor.
A superb showing from the Mariners at the Kenilworth Road home of the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off chasers saw goals from Gavan Holohan and Harry Clifton earn a 2-2 draw to bring Luton to Cleethorpes.
Paul Hurst’s men backed up that promising performance with a comprehensive 3-0 Sky Bet League Two victory over Crewe on Saturday and his team will certainly come into tonight’s match full of confidence.
Team News
Loanees George Lloyd and Tom Dickson-Peters, along with fellow Deadline Day signing Josh Emmanuel, will be unavailable for selection due to not being registered for the initial match between the two sides.
In addition to that, Mikey O’Neill and John McAtee are also ruled out due to the former being cup-tied and the latter being unable to play against his parent club.
The absence of the above forward options mean Danilo Orsi is likely to return to the starting XI after being an unused substitute against Crewe.
Left back Danny Amos, impressive on Saturday, is available for the replay after serving his one-match suspension following his red card at Swindon against Luton in the initial match.

Luton Town
The Kenilworth Road club currently find themselves in a lofty fourth spot in the Championship with a Play-Off berth a very real proposition come the end of the season.
Tonight’s visitors arrive at Blundell Park in fine form with the draw ten days ago the only match they have failed to win in the last five in all competitions.
Luton boast a clutch of potent weapons up front. Carlton Morris, their top scorer this season with eleven goals, came off the bench in the first match and could feature from the start. Elijah Adebayo, the scorer of the Hatters’ penalty in the 2-2 draw, finds himself in great form with five goals and an assist in their last six matches.
Alfie Doughty was one of Luton’s stand out players in the first match, alongside goalscorer Jordan Clark who was also named Man of the Match.
Previous Meetings
Prior to the initial match, the Mariners’ last two matches against the Hatters – both in the 2017-18 League Two season – saw the Bedfordshire club complete the league double.
Our last victory against tonight’s visitors came in September 2016 when an Omar Bogle double sealed a 2-1 League Two win at Kenilworth Road.
The last time we hosted Luton in the FA Cup, we beat them 7-1 in the Third Round of the 1995/96 campaign with the strikeforce of Jamie Forrester and Steve Livingstone scoring two goals each. You can watch the highlights of that on Mariners TV match HERE.
Referee
Sam Barrott has been appointed the referee for tonight’s match. The last time he refereed a Grimsby match was a 2-1 League Two defeat at Hartlepool in October 2022. He will be assisted by Graeme Fyvie and Abbas Khan.

Due to broadcast regulations, tonight’s match isn’t available to be broadcast live on Mariners TV. Subscribers will, though, be able to listen to the radio coverage from BBC Radio Humberside. Not a subscriber? Sign up HERE for just £4.50 a month to enjoy exclusive content and match coverage.
