James Adcock will be the man with the whistle when the Mariners travel to Cambridge United tonight.
The Select Group Two referee returned to action last season after a long injury lay-off which kept him out of action from April 2017 until March 2019, taking charge of the Oldham v Town game last March on his comeback.
He qualified as a referee in 2000, aged 16, following in his father’s footsteps, who also officiated on the EFL. Adcock was appointed to the EFL as an assistant referee in 2008 and to the National List of Referees in 2011-12. He had also previously worked as a PE teacher at a secondary school for nine years.
In the 8 games he has officiated this season he has produced 33 Yellow Cards and 2 Red Cards.
Mr Adcock will be assisted by Nigel Lugg and Rob Smith, the Fourth Official will be Jeffrey Russell.
