Staffordshire referee Christopher Sarginson will be the man in the middle when Town travel to Colchester on Good Friday (3pm).

Mr Sarginson is no stranger to the Mariners and has already officiated in two of our games this season – the 2-1 home defeat against Morecambe back in September and our 2-1 victory at Exeter City in December. Ten-man Town produced a magnificent defensive effort that day to beat City at St James’ Park after Alex Whitmore was shown a straight red card just six minutes into the second half.

Mr Sarginson has been at EFL level for ten seasons now. In 41 games this season he has brandished the Yellow Card 119 times and the Red Card on 6 occasions.

He will be assisted by Adrian Tranter and Andrew Aylott, the Fourth Official will be Anthony Da Costa.
