Grimsby Town return to Central League Reserves action this afternoon as they welcome Mansfield Town to Blundell Park (2pm).
Michael Jolley’s side fell to their first Sky Bet League Two defeat in six games on Saturday as they lost 2-0 at home to Cambridge United.
And the Mariners’ reserves are in action on Tuesday, with the aim of staking their claim to earn a spot in the squad for the League Two clash with Crawley Town on Saturday (3pm).
Town reserves are winless in their seven Central League games so far this season, but drew 3-3 in a six-goal thriller with Wigan Athletic last time out as Kristian Dennis grabbed a hat-trick at Cheapside.
And the Mariners will be looking to build on that and get their first win of the Central League season against the Stags today.
Entry to the game is £3 for adults and £1 for concessions, with season ticket holders going free on production of their season ticket book!
