Grimsby Town Football Club can confirm that defender, Sebastian Ring has left the club by mutual consent.
Ring, who joined the club in December 2018 made 21 appearances in all competitions for the club but struggled for minutes throughout the 2019/20 campaign. We caught up with Sebastian before his departure, who has been grateful for the opportunity to play in England.
“First of all, I’d like to thank Michael for bringing me to England to give me the chance to play here”, said Ring. “Football can be hard when you’re not playing, but I always gave 100% in every game and training session that I had and gave the club my all in the short time I had”.
“I want to say thank you to all the players and staff who have helped me a lot since I moved here. It’s not easy moving away from home, especially to a new country, but from living in a hotel and helping me while I didn’t have my car, to helping show me things around this town I cannot thank those guys enough.”
“I’d also like to thank the fans. They have been amazing, they supported me from the first day of moving to England and I cannot thank them enough for the support they gave me, it definitely helped me and my girlfriend feel more settled”.
We would like to thank Sebastian for his efforts whilst at the club and wish him and his family all the best for the future.
