Making the trip to the Wham Stadium tomorrow for our first Sky Bet League two fixture of 2025 against Accrington Stanley?

Our Supporter Liaison Officer, Kristine Green, gives the run down of all the key information for our supporters making the trip to Lancashire on New Year’s Day.

What kit are we in for this game?

We are wearing our blue third kit for the second time this month.

What’s the ticket information?

Standing tickets in the Coppice Terrace have been made available to buy through Accrington Stanley’s website and can be bought by clicking here.

Tickets will also be available on the day and are priced as follows:

Adult – £22.00
Seniors (65+) – £15.00
Student (with ID) – £15.00
12-17 years – £10.00
Accompanied U12 – £5.00

Tickets can be purchased from 1.30pm via the away ticket booth – the stadium is now cashless so payment by card/contactless only.

How do I get to the ground?

Postcode for the ground is BB5 5BX

Leave the M65 at junction 7, heading towards Clitheroe at the roundabout. Turn right at the lights and follow directions for the A678. Follow the road and then turn right towards Accrington on the A680. Carry straight on through the next set of lights at the Greyhound Pub. Take the first left after the Crown Pub onto Livingstone Road.

What stand are we in?

Tickets sold from Blundell Park are for the IMEP seating stand to the side of the goal.

When do turnstiles open?

Turnstiles open at 1.30pm

Where is the best place to park?

Plenty of street parking around the ground with no resident restrictions. Limited parking is available for a donation, 50 metres away from the stadium entrance on Livingstone Road (BB5 5BX)

Parking for disabled supporters?

Disabled parking is on a first come first basis as marked above with ‘parking for a donation’. Nearby street parking is also available.

What is the nearest train station to the stadium and what is the approximate distance and walking time?

Accrington Station is on the East Lancashire line and approximately a 15 minute walk from the stadium.

Recommended pubs for away fans?

Coley’s Bar at the ground is open from 12pm but requires a match ticket, Town fans are welcome to use this after the game too. You can also grab a bite to eat here.

Alternatively you have the Crown and The Grey Horse, all near to the ground. In town you have The Stanley, Bee’s Knees and The Commercial (Spoons) – they’re all about a 20 minute walk from the ground.

Food available in the area?

Non pub food is limited around the ground. There’s a chippy on Whalley Road which is on the walk to/from the town centre. There you have the usual chain outlets for food.

Where is the nearest cash machine to the Stadium?

There’s a cash machine on Whalley Road as you head towards town but this has a charge. Plenty of free to use machines in town – which is a 20 minute walk from the ground.

What food and drink is available on the concourse at the stadium?

Inside the ground there is also a bar and standard football food. The ground is now cashless.

Is there a programme?

Accrington Stanley no longer produce a printed programme but have a digital copy. QR codes are available around the ground.

What is the process for supporters looking to bring flags into the stadium?

Flags are no problem – just make sure that they don’t cover any advertising or walk ways.
