Walsall Travel Guide

Making the journey to Walsall this weekend? Kristine Green has provided the following travel guide to help make your journey run as smoothly as possible.

What colour kit will the team be wearing?

We’re in Blue for this game.

What’s the ticket information?

Tickets are available from the ticket office until Friday 3pm. Seating is unallocated.

On the day tickets are available from Walsall’s ticket office – payment is by card only as the ground is cashless.

How do I get to the ground?

Postcode is WS1 4SA

Leave the M6 at junction 9 and take the A461 towards Walsall.  Take the A4148 Wallowes Lane and then right again at the 2nd set of traffic lights.  The round will be on your left.

What stand are we in?

We’re located in the University of Wolverhampton Stand – This is a covered stand behind the goal.

 When do turnstiles open?

Turnstiles open at 1pm for access to the away bar.

Where is the best place to park?

Parking is available at the stadium costing £5 per car and £6 per minibus – payment for parking is cash only.  There is an away fan only car park.

Supporters can also park at the railway station.

Is there any disabled parking?

All disabled spaces at the stadium are reserved by season ticket holders. On arrival please speak to a steward who will do their best to park you in a suitable space. The car park opens from 12pm but is run on a first come, first served basis.

What is the nearest train station to the stadium and what is the approximate distance and walking time?

The train station is literally a two-minute walk from the stadium.  Trains come in from Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton.

Recommended pubs for away fans?

The Saddlers Club at the ground is not available for away supporters.

The nearest pub is the Park Inn Hotel, that’s only a couple of minutes’ walk from the ground. It does become busy and so more difficult to reach the bar as the day goes on.

You also have the King George V on Wallows Lane. This is near Morrisons and about a 15 minute walk away.

Food available in the area?

The stadium is situated next door to a retail park that includes a McDonalds.

You also have the Saddlers Shopping Centre that has a variety of food outlets. WS2 9NW – 10 minutes away by car but a fair walk.

Where is the nearest cash machine to the Stadium?

The retail park has a free to use cash machine.

The Park Inn Hotel also has a cash machine but this has a fee to use.

What food and drink is available on the concourse at the stadium?

The away end has a licensed bar with TV’s for away fans and is available from 1pm.

Food is pies, pasties, sausage rolls, burgers and hot dogs. As well as hot/cold drinks and snacks.

The stadium is cashless – inside it is card payments only.

Is a programme available?

Printed programmes are still available – costing £3.00. Payment is cash only for these.
