We are absolutely thrilled to unveil the return of the Grimsby Town Foundation’s ‘Warm Space’ initiative, a resounding success last winter.
This year, we’re forging a powerful partnership with the Community Interest Company ‘WeAreFish’, who will be instrumental in staffing our sessions.
Every Monday throughout December, January and February, the ProAmpac Lounge will transform into a haven, offering not just warm meals but also a dedicated space for completing homework surrounded by an array of toys, games and activities.
Last year, our efforts provided hundreds of meals, including a heartwarming Christmas Dinner, and we’re committed to replicating this generosity during the upcoming cold spell.
We’re also extending a helping hand beyond meals by distributing food parcels to those in attendance.
Pete MacLeod, Grimsby Town Foundation’s Head of Foundation, said: “We are really pleased to work on the project again after such success last year. It’s a great opportunity for people of all ages to come into the Football Club, socialise, eat together and have fun interacting with staff.
“On some of the weeks last year, we have special guests with player visits and Mighty Mariner which we will be repeating this year. We recognise the Football Club and Foundation is a big part of our local community and would like to thank the Household Support Fund for helping fund this vital service and WeAreFish for helping to staff the event.”
We would like to extend our thanks to North East Lincolnshire Council’s Household Support Fund for their generous £1500 donation, amplifying our ability to make a meaningful impact to our community.
