Grimsby Town Football Club are delighted to announce the return of goalkeeper Harvey Cartwright, who joins the Mariners on a season-long loan from Premier League side Hull City.
A familiar face to Town supporters, Cartwright previously represented the Mariners during the 2023/24 campaign, making 32 appearances in all competitions and earning the Club’s Young Player of the Year award following a strong first season at Blundell Park.
The Grimsby-born goalkeeper joined Hull City’s academy in 2015 and has since gained valuable senior experience through loan spells with Peterborough United, Wycombe Wanderers and, most recently, Hartlepool United.
The 24-year-old enjoyed an excellent spell with the National League side last season, making 13 appearances and keeping seven clean sheets before his campaign was unfortunately cut short through injury.
Cartwright now returns to Blundell Park to reunite with Goalkeeping Coach Steve Croudson and link back up with David Artell’s squad ahead of the new campaign.
Speaking after completing his return to the Mariners, Cartwright said:
“I’m absolutely delighted to be back here; it means a lot more to me being a Town fan growing up. I remember coming to Blundell Park as a young lad and dreaming of playing in goal, so this is really special.”
