Our brand-new away shirt will go on sale from the Club Shop on Saturday morning between 9am and 1pm.
The blue and red striped jersey, by our technical supplier Umbro, draws its inspiration from a classic shirt worn during the mid-90s by many Club icons, including virtuoso Italian star Ivano Bonetti, who features in the promo video which has already received over 300,000 hits on social media since its release last night!
It includes a stylish collar, woven badge and the logos of three local businesses – myenergi on the front, Winner Winner Chicken Dinner on the back and Blackrow on the sleeve, along with 3Q Industrial Supplies Ltd on the shorts.
On the new away shirt, CEO Polly Bancroft said, “We are delighted with the fans’ reaction to our new away shirt and the appearance of Ivano in the promo video.”
“Jack Johnson and Luke Matthews have done another great job re-imagining the original shirt and giving it a contemporary spin.
“It’s been almost 30 years since we last wore blue and red stripes, so I hope they are as popular with our fans as we believe they will be, and I look forward to seeing plenty of them in the stand come the start of the season.”
Like the home, the away shirt will cost £54 for adults, £44 for juniors and £47 mini-kits.
In addition to the away shirt, the shorts and socks will also be on sale from Saturday morning. For information regarding the sizing and fit of Umbro replica shirts, click here.
Season Ticket holders can receive 10% off a new shirt on production of their season ticket card at the point of purchase. Please note that the £10-off discount vouchers can only be used on the home shirt before the 31st July deadline.
GTFC X DOCKSFEST
The new away shirt, along with several other merchandise items, will also be on sale at DocksFest on Saturday.
The collaboration will allow festival-goers attending the event the opportunity to purchase the new kit from a GTFC-run stall after our in-store launch at the Blundell Park Club Shop.
ONLINE LAUNCH
The away shirt, along with the shorts and the socks, will be available online from Monday 7th July.
Club Shop staff will be setting a proportion of stock aside for Monday to ensure that supporters who can’t make it to the in-store launch will get their chance to buy online next week.
