Grimsby Town Football Club is delighted to announce that the Club has achieved EFL Family Excellence Silver Award status for the 2025/26 season, recognising our continued commitment to delivering a welcoming, enjoyable and memorable matchday experience for families at Blundell Park.
The award marks another significant milestone for the Club, with Town achieving Silver status for the first time as part of the EFL’s Family Excellence Scheme.
The scheme assesses the matchday experience Clubs provide for families across the English Football League, with assessors visiting stadiums throughout the season to evaluate every stage of the supporter journey – from purchasing tickets through to the experience inside the ground on matchday.
Assessors highlighted several key strengths at Blundell Park across this season’s visits, including the welcoming contact with the Club via phone and email, clear wayfinding signage around the stadium, the unique variety of refreshment options available and the Club’s matchday announcer.
The report also recognised the Club’s continued efforts to create a positive environment for younger supporters and families attending matches throughout the season.

“Improving the matchday experience at Blundell Park remains a key part of our fan engagement strategy and we’d like to thank supporters who have shared feedback throughout the season.”
The Club will continue working closely with supporters and staff to build on this season’s progress and further improve the family matchday experience moving forward.
