Manager, Michael Jolley is auctioning his Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month award in aid of Fishermen’s Mission.

Grimsby Town fans have a chance to win a unique piece of memorabilia whilst contributing to a great cause.

Manager, Michael Jolley has donated and is auctioning his Manager of the Month award which he won in December 2018. Michael has also signed the award.

All funds raised through the auction will be donated to the Grimsby branch of Fishermen’s Mission, an organisation who solely support the welfare of active and inactive fishermen.

Mission Area Officer of Fishermen’s Mission, Tony Jewitt spoke to us regarding the manager’s decision to auction his award. “We are so appreciative that Michael has selected The Fishermen’s Mission, Grimsby to be the beneficiary of any funds raised through the sale of his prestigious Manager of the Month award”.

“Any funds raised will go towards the welfare of our fishermen whose needs are many. More specifically, the monies would go towards medical equipment needed to support those affected by the industry such as an electrically powered vehicle, or assisted electrical beds and chairs within the home”.

“We help in many ways, from practical support to spiritual, pastoral and support with medical equipment for ex-fishermen who have a need because of the effects of the industry upon their lives, in terms of arthritis, skeletal problems, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and the like, suffered through many days in extreme conditions on the trawlers when Grimsby had a large fleet”.

The auction is now LIVE over on our official eBay page and will end on Monday 18th February and the winning bidder must be willing to pay through PayPal.
