Grimsby Town Football Club can confirm that goalkeeper Ollie Battersby has joined Southern League Premier Central side Ilkeston Town on loan until January 2023.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper first joined the Mariners at under 9’s level, spending a year at Sheffield United before returning to Town in 2020. Battersby made his debut for his hometown club in the EFL Trophy against Leicester City U21s but has also enjoyed loan spells at the likes of Lincoln United, Mickleover Sports, Gateshead, Belper Town and Hereford FC.

Ollie will be eligible for Ilkeston’s fixture this evening at home to Stratford Town and we would like to wish him all the very best in his short spell away from the club!
