We can announce that Kamil Conteh has joined Bristol Rovers for an undisclosed fee.

The League One club triggered the 21-year-old midfielder’s release clause yesterday and has agreed a long-term deal with the Gas.

The Sierra Leone international arrived at Blundell Park in the summer from Middlesbrough on a 3-year deal after impressing on loan with Gateshead in the National League last season.

Conteh featured 28 times for the Mariners this season, registering two assists, with his last appearance coming in the 5-5 draw to Notts County at Blundell Park.

We would like to thank Kamil for his efforts during his time as a Mariner and wish him well for the remainder of his career.
