Our award-winning matchday programme, The Mariner returns this Great Grimsby Day for the visit of Bromley to Blundell Park.

In this week’s edition, we sit down with Jordan Maguire-Drew who has been in fine form recently, finding the back of the net in consecutive games at Blundell Park, both being goals to remember! We discuss finding his feet at Grimsby and his previous experiences in the National League.

Many of you will have seen last weekend’s highlights of our 2-0 victory over Altrincham, featuring the evergreen commentary of John Moore. Grimbarians’ ‘One of our Own’ feature returns this afternoon with the legend himself, providing a recognisable voice for the Mariners for over 40 years!

Our regular Junior Mariners feature also returns with plenty of activities and features for our younger Mariners fans. We also catch up with the Grimsby Town Sports & Education Trust Shadow Scholarship squad, who continue their fine run of form with a 3-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers.

Scott Harneiss remembers Gary Childs in our Legends feature, the moustachioed midfielder who dazzled in the ’90s. Club historian Rob Briggs continues with part thirteen of Ancient Mariners, as he focuses on cup controversies of the early part of the 1884-85 season.
