Neil Woods’s Grimsby Town youth team welcome Huddersfield Town to Cheapside in the EFL North East Youth Alliance on Saturday (11.30am).
The young Mariners were eliminated out of the Youth Alliance Cup quarter-finals last weekend as they lost 2-1 away to Fleetwood Town.
But Woods’s side turn their attention back to the league this weekend as they face Huddersfield at home.
Town are currently bottom of the league, with three wins and two draws from their opening 11 matches.
They lost 2-1 away at Huddersfield in the reverse fixture earlier this season, with Brandon McPherson scoring the Mariners’ goal from the penalty spot.
And they will be looking for their first win of the decade as they host the Terriers on Saturday.
Huddersfield are currently ninth, and third-bottom, in the league table – two points ahead of Town.
But the Terriers ended their six-game winless run as they beat Chesterfield 1-0 away from home last weekend.
And they will be looking to kick on and make it two wins on the bounce as they go head-to-head with the Mariners on Saturday.
After this weekend’s clash with Huddersfield, Town travel to Notts County on Saturday, January 25 (11am).
