Mariners To Face FC Zorya Luhansk During Slovenia Training Camp

We can confirm that David Artell’s side will take on Ukrainian Premier League outfit FC Zorya Luhansk as part of the Club’s pre-season training camp in Slovenia.

The fixture will take place on Saturday 18th July, with kick-off scheduled for 12pm (BST).

As previously communicated, the Club’s week-long stay in Slovenia forms part of an intensive behind-closed-doors training camp ahead of the 2026/27 season. The match against Zorya Luhansk will also be played behind closed doors, with no supporter access available.

The fixture forms part of an intensive training camp designed to maximise preparation for the new season, with the controlled environment allowing the coaching staff to manage player workloads and tactical objectives throughout the week.

Supporters will still be able to follow the action, with details of a live stream to be confirmed in due course.

Founded in 1923, FC Zorya Luhansk compete in the Ukrainian Premier League and have regularly featured in European competition in recent seasons, including appearances in both the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League. The fixture will provide a valuable test for David Artell’s squad as preparations continue ahead of the new campaign.

Supporters are reminded that they will be able to purchase tickets for our two home pre-season fixtures against Lincoln City and Wigan Athletic from Monday 29th June. Ticket information for our away pre-season fixtures against Hartlepool United and Boston United will be communicated as soon as details are confirmed.
