ROSE NEW DEAL

Grimsby Town Football Club is delighted to announce that Danny Rose’s contract has been extended by one year, keeping the striker at Blundell Park until the summer of 2026.

The 30-year-old joined the Mariners ahead of the 2023-24 campaign from Stevenage and has gone on to make 55 appearances for the Club, scoring 17 goals.

Rose was one of our most consistent performers last season, topping the scoring charts with 15 goals in 41 appearances and earning the captain’s armband.

After putting pen to paper on his new deal, the Town striker said, “I’m really pleased to sign a new deal, I’m enjoying my time with the Club.”

“The fans have been brilliant and so has the Gaffer and all the staff have too. I just want to repay them now in performances and goals and hopefully have a successful season.

“We’ve started well and we want that to continue. We’ve got a great group of lads and I think you can tell from the performances on the pitch that we’re really digging in for each other.”

Head Coach David Artell added, “We’re delighted that we’ve extended his contract with us and he’s here for another 18 months.”

“He’s the Club captain, a leader and he was our top goalscorer last season. He’s an experienced pro and he’s really important to this Football Club, on and off the pitch.”

The Town number 32, who has already found the back of the net twice this campaign, will be in David Artell’s squad for the visit of MK Dons to Blundell Park tomorrow afternoon.

Congratulations, Rosey!
