What’s the ticket information?

Tickets can be purchased on the night with a £2 increase. Please leave additional time for this as queues do form closer to the kick-off.

We have been allocated the South Stand which is on Coldhams Common. This can be accessed from Newmarket Road (there is a path to the right of the stadium as you look from the main road) or Coldhams Road.

How do I get to the ground?

Postcode for the ground is CB5 8LN.

Travelling from the North? A14 from Huntingdon, then turn east along the A14 dual carriage way.

Travelling from the South? M11 to Junction 14, then turn east along the A14 dual carriageway.

Then exit the A14 at the fourth junction (situated east of Cambridge), up the slip road to the roundabout (signposted Stow-Cum-Quy). Turn right onto the A1303, and return westwards towards Cambridge. Go straight over the first roundabout, passing Marshall Airport to the left. Go straight over two sets of traffic lights to a roundabout.

The Ground’s floodlights can be seen from here and McDonald’s is on the right.
Turn left onto the ring road. Turn right at the first roundabout (a large Sainsbury’s is on the left here), and go along Coldham’s Lane. After half a mile, immediately after the traffic lights turn right into Coldham’s Road before the railway bridge.

Where is the best place to park?

The Abbey Stadium does not have parking for fans so it’s either considerate street parking (where restrictions allow) or the Newmarket Road Park and Ride. The return fare is £2.50 and drops you right outside the stadium. Fans are picked up from the layby on the opposite side of the road after the game.

What is the nearest train station to the stadium and what is the approximate distance and walking time?

Cambridge railway station is located in the city centre about a 25-30 minute walk away from the ground. Alternatively, taxis are available as well as the C3 bus, although with it being an evening game services will be between 10-30 minute intervals.

Recommended pubs for away fans?

Plenty in the City Centre but that is some distance away. Near the ground you have The Wrestlers on Newmarket Road or the Tram Depot on Dover Street (CB1 1DY).

Food available in the area?

Newmarket Road has a host of chain restaurants such as McDonalds, Frankie and Bennies and Nando’s as well as other smaller takeaways that will be open with it being an evening game.

When do turnstiles open?

Turnstiles open an hour before kick-off – 6:45pm.

Where is the nearest cash machine to the Stadium?
There are cashpoints at Tesco’s on Newmarket Road and the Spar shop on the junction of Newmarket Road and Barnwell Road

Is our drum allowed in the stadium? What is the process for supporters looking to bring flags into the stadium?

Due to the configuration of the South Stand flags can be hung over the front wall. Flags over 3m will need a fire safety certificate.

What food and drink is available in the concourse at the stadium?

The Abbey Stadium serves a range of food and drink once inside and card payments are accepted. Please note that for this game ALCOHOL WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO AWAY FANS.
