Wheelchair Viewing Area Crowdfunder Passes 50% Mark

The campaign to deliver a new wheelchair viewing facility at Blundell Park has reached a significant milestone, with more than half of the fundraising target now achieved.

The Club, Mariners Trust and Grimsby Town Disabled Supporters Association would like to thank everyone who has contributed so far, whether through donations, fundraising events, prize draws or by helping to spread the word.

To date, an incredible £15,139 has been raised through the online Crowdfunder portal. However, that figure only tells part of the story. Offline donations and fundraising events have already contributed a further £6,000, with additional pledges and events still to come. Based on the support received so far, organisers are confident that those additional contributions will reach £10,000.

As a result, the Crowdfunder target has now been revised to £26,000, meaning the campaign currently stands at 58.2% funded.

The Crowdfunder remains open until Sunday 12th July 2026, and supporters can continue to back the project by donating through the online portal.

The new wheelchair viewing area, planned for installation ahead of the 2026/27 season, will provide additional wheelchair spaces, companion seating, improved sightlines, accessible facilities and enhanced protection from the elements, helping to further improve the matchday experience for disabled supporters at Blundell Park.

New Prize Draw Now Live

Following the success of the recent Kieran Green match-worn shirt prize draw, which raised an impressive £850 for the campaign, supporters now have another opportunity to get involved.

A new prize draw is currently running, offering the chance to win a signed Grimsby Town football in a presentation case. Supporters can enter the draw here.
