Speaking at the post match press conference, the Town boss said: “We started really brightly, but we gave them the opportunity to strike and the goal gave them something to hold on to.

“We had chances to nick a goal, and eventually we got one, but we then lost momentum when Matt was sent-off.

“I don’t think there was much contact with the player, and it was a poor decision.
“I think we were the better side today, but it’s about scoring goals, and it’s about doing things really professionally in either box.

“I think we probably should have scored two or three goals today. We won’t waste another second trying to get us back into that form we are capable.”
